What are we looking for?

We’re on the hunt for new nannies! Nannying is when you work with the same lovely family on a regular basis, you can chose a job that suits your schedule! We’ve got morning work, afternoon work or full days. Our families are vetted through our word of mouth system, but if the family we find for you isn’t the right fit - we can find you another job!

The benefit of being with the agency is that we’ve got your back, if you’re sick or unavailable we can send a replacement. At the moment we’re averaging 100 new clients a month, with 80% of our successful applicants getting a job in 2-3 weeks! We would love to hear from you!

Along with Melbourne based nannies, we are also searching for casual sitters to join our Sydney books as we begin to start operating in Sydney NSW

The Process

Fill out the form so we can learn more about what kind of work you are looking for!

2.

Let us know a time that works on the form and we will call you for a 10 min chat.

3.

If successful, we’ll add you to the app where you will get access to some great families and opportunities.

4.

Set up your profile, set your rate (we suggest $26-$30 per hour) and we can find you a job in a matter of days if you need or have something lined up when suits

How do you find your families?

We find all our families through our word of mouth system! Peas is a community that has been building and growing over the past 7 years! It is such a small world here in Melbourne, and Peas makes it even smaller! This is why the Peas community is so amazing, you can feel safe and comfortable meeting these families because you’ve also got the support of the Peas team behind you!

What will my hours look like?

Your hours can look however you like! If you’re a Uni student you can do as little as 3-6 hours a week, or up to 30 hours. When you have your quick chat with a member of the Peas team, we always ask what kind of work you’d be looking for, morning, afternoons or full days? We want to find you work that suits with your schedule and most importantly, you enjoy!

What if I don’t have a lot of experience?

We all have to start somewhere right! Let’s chat on the phone about what type of care you may have done or encountered before, we can even help you build up your confidence or expand your age range with some casual babysitting, just reach out to a member of the team when you need support!

What should I set my rate as?

We always provide recommendations based on the requirements of a role but, if you’re a little older, have a lot of experience, have a childcare qualification or want to go above and beyond to charge a higher rate you absolutely can! The average rate at the moment is between $28-$30 per hour, depending on experience - if you need any help figuring out what a good rate to set is based on your experience, contact one of us on the team and we would be happy to help you!

I don’t have my First Aid or WWCC, What do I do?

Don’t stress! After your phone call we will send you two emails, the first helps you get set up on our platform and the second has all the information you need about the agency, WWCC, First aid and more! If you want to get the ball rolling, you can still interview and meet with families before you’ve got these finalised. We just can’t send you out on your first day without them locked in!
