No matter how many peas you have in your pod, Emma has a sitter to suit!

Hello Peas families and welcome to a new and exciting year!

2018 was a fantastic and transforming year over here at PIAP. In May, our lovely founder of Peas in a Pod Agency, Katie, moved overseas to follow a new and exciting journey, passionately passing on the business. Before leaving, Katie had created a very unique and loving platform for families and nannies all throughout the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I am honoured to have been handed the opportunity to take on the business from Katie, and can’t wait to see how Peas grows further in the years to come!

So, let me begin by telling you all a little about myself.

My name is Emma, I’m a 20-year-old student at the University of Melbourne, currently in the midst of my Arts degree majoring in Psychology. I am one of four children having grown up with three younger brothers; which I believe is what prompted my nurturing nature and my interest in babysitting. I was first introduced to the Peas in a Pod agency by some close friends 3 years ago when I was searching for some casual babysitting jobs. After my first connection with a family through PIAP, I learned that this little agency was an absolute gem, and not only for myself but for the families I met within the Peas community as well. The families I was paired with were all so gorgeous and grateful for another helping hand within their tribe, and the connections to families and sitters within the agency that followed seemed endless!

I have been a nanny and a babysitter for 8+ years now and I can’t get enough! This year I am taking the year off my studies to focus on the PIAP business and continue its development across Melbourne. I have already been so overwhelmed with the amazing families and sitters I’ve met since taking over, and I’m looking forward to meeting and pairing more families with the perfect sitters and nannies in the year ahead.

For me, the most rewarding part about running Peas in a Pod has been the ability to meet new families and sitters, get to know them and hear the wonderful opportunities PIAP has offered them. This year, PIAP aims to provide every family with a great carer who is reliable, fun-loving, mindful and educated to look out for your little ones. Our main ambition is to pair families with sitters who you trust wholeheartedly and who your little peas will adore!

I look forward to chatting with you soon!
