Multitasking Mannies!

Last year two of our amazing “mannies”, 19 year old twin brothers Nick and Rich became temporary live in nannies for PIAP. The two boys were paired with a family of 4 kids whose parents were jetting off on a month long trip overseas. After meeting the boys for the first time a couple of weeks before their trip, the parents felt completely comfortable leaving their 4 kids in their hands after hearing multiple testimonies about PIAP from friends.

Nick and Rich completed the usual daily jobs over the 4 weeks as nannies; this included taking the kids to their various activities, helping with school homework, walking the dog, doing the washing, grocery shopping and preparing dinner. They even did some baking with the kids as an after school treat, which they all loved! Mum even commented on how impressive the boys were in the kitchen;

I am unable to keep up the standards Nick and Rich set with all the red velvet cupcakes and brownies on offer. The boys were just fantastic!”

There were a few hiccups throughout their time as nannies, including an unexpected trip to the vet which saw Rich in the tough position to confirm or decline an immediate surgery for the family dog. Unable to get in contact with the parents at the time, Nick approved the surgery, feeling it was the right decision. When the parents found out, they were so grateful for Rich’s quick thinking to help keep the family pet healthy and alive!

The boys were very committed to their role as nannies, doing their best to ensure the house was always tidy and organised, and going out of their way for the kids. The parents were not only impressed but very thankful to have had Nick and Rich to keep the everyday life of the family running smoothly!

“Nick and Rich were wonderful! The kids didn’t even miss us! It was great having Peas in a Pod Agency as a go to for both Rich and Nick and us. Thank you!”
